During your wedding, you have a one-of-a-kind occasion to have your love materialized in form of beautiful pictures. And as a wedding photographer, all I can say is that the best photographies are the ones that capture genuine emotions and feelings!

Don’t be embarrassed to show affection

We all know what it’s like during the weddings. A lot of people around you, your spouse’s family (some of them you’re seeing for the very first time!), everyone dressed to the nines. It can be a bit intimidating and you might feel everyone’s eyes on you. Don’t let it stop you from all the small things that make your relationship special. Sneaky smooches, deep stares and honest smiles – don’t feel ashamed of expressing your love!

What is more, love looks AMAZING on pictures! It’s so easy to achieve that WOW effect when you show genuine affection!

Don’t force anything!

Every couple expresses affection and love in a different way. It’s completely fine – that’s how the world works, doesn’t it?

Kisses and hugs are great, but you may simply prefer to hold hands. Remember – on your wedding day, you do you! You don’t have to feel compelled to express your love in a certain way. Do it like you always do – keep it real!

When it comes to art, it might seem that everything has already been done. But then, there is this one person who comes forward and changes everything!

Wedding photography has its tropes and cliches, there’s no denying that! You’ve got all your dips and kisses or jump shotsjumpshots – there is nothing wrong with wanting these kinds of pictures to be in your wedding album! But you may want to take it to the next level and get really creative with your pictures! Wedding photography is also art – an art of preserving memories from the most special days!

Here’s some advice on how to turn your wedding photo session into something special and unique!

 

Think of what defines you

 

Take a look deep down inside you. What are your biggest passions? How do you perceive yourself? How would you like to remember yourself in 20-30-40 years when you dig out your wedding album for a trip down the nostalgia lane?

Organizing your wedding photoshoot around the things you love will allow your wedding photographer to really bring out the real you in the pictures.

Ever thought of having a photo of you taken during scuba diving? Or bungee jumping? Doing that in your wedding dress or a lovely three-piece will make it that much more special and memorable!

Well, wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so grab it! Reach out to your favorite band and have your first dance to a song you both love played live. Daytime is not the only option if you want to get interesting photographs. Allow for some time in the evening as well [the so called “golden hour”], or at night, and the FAB pics will come your way.
