Wedding Photographer on a Dublin Wedding
This day Amy and Declan will never forget, their Wedding Day, March 7th, 2015. Bright and clear day, warm, blue skies. Wedding day of every bride’s dreams. I mean, there’s only so much that you can control, right? Choose our wedding photographer, wedding make up artist, florist, venue, wedding attire… Weather is something that rarely cooperates, at least here, in Ireland. However, Amy and Declan’s wedding day was just perfect.
What We Wore
First of all, even Amy’s wedding dress was a love from first sight! It was the first one she ever tried on! In the Carla’s Brides boutique in Nottingham, made by the House of Mooshki. This was the wedding dress to-die-for… Moreover, the bridesmaids’ dresses weren’t any less amazing. Amy’s sister, Emma, wore a Ted Baker dress, and Kayleigh, their niece, wore a specially made dress from Etsy, both in a matching color. The groom’s suit was bought in Harvey Nichols in Dundrum.
The Venue
The venue for the ceremony was one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. The wedding ceremony took place in the City Hall on Dame Street in Dublin. The bride and the groom made sure their friends had lots of fun in a relaxing and laid back atmosphere. They have chosen a humanist ceremony. With friends and family reading a selection of poems, carefully selected music playing in the background, all added up to an unforgettable atmosphere. Furthermore, The Hitmen Trio, the band Declan found, were amazing, they made sure everyone had the time of their lives on that dancefloor.
At first, the Anglers Rest seemed to be the perfect place for the wedding reception! It lived up to all their expectations, including the outstanding cuisine. As a result of careful planning, the day went through smoothly and with no hassle whatsoever.
The Wedding Photographer
Hence there’s only one day like this, it is vital to choose a wedding photographer that would make these moments last. Amy says: “We chose our photographer Chris, who was amazing, as he said he could get the photo’s of Dec and I done in 20 minutes if we worked with him. And another 10 minutes with friends/family. This meant we had more time in their company. We loved the journalist style photography he did and knew he would be unobtrusive”.
The cheery on top? The honeymoon spent in Kenya and Zanzibar… No surprise here, if you think how they met in New Zealand and got engaged in Costa Rica… And to think that all this thanks to the fact that Declan managed to convince Amy that Ireland is “the best country in the world”.
